Nautica Stricklin

Herculaneum sophomore Nautica Stricklin finished fifth Saturday in the Class 3 girls cross country championships.

The sophomore harrier turned in her second straight top-five state performance Saturday by finishing fifth in the Class 3 championships in Jefferson City. Stricklin, who finished fifth in Class 2 last year, set a personal record of 19:23.53 on the challenging five-kilometer course at the Oak Hills Golf Center. She helped the Blackcats to a fourth-place finish, the 13th consecutive year they have earned a state trophy – the longest such streak of any school ever in Missouri cross country.
