The senior cornerback intercepted De Soto quarterback Briar Fischer three times during Friday night’s 41-7 Class 4 District 1 victory at home. Coale returned his first interception 35 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter to give the Tigers a 14-0 lead. His next pick came in his own end zone with the Dragons driving to score in the third. With Festus leading 41-0 in the fourth, Coale intercepted his third pass and returned it 50 yards. He had a total of 115 return yards on the three turnovers. Coale has played every position in the Tigers’ offensive backfield and placed seventh at the Class 4 state track and field championships in the pole vault last May.
