Andrew Graves

Jefferson's Andrew Graves heads outside for yardage under the pursuit of Cardinal Ritter's Jeff Hayes in Ritter's 52-30 victory over the Blue Jays in the Class 2 District 2 championship game on Nov. 6. Graves ran for 128 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries in the game.

Graves was the among the top freshman players in the St. Louis area this season and a big reason why the Blue Jays enjoyed their best season ever at 8-4. The running back finished seventh in the area in scoring with 174 points on 23 touchdowns (19 rushing, four receiving and one on a kickoff return) and 18 two-point conversion runs. He was 14th in rushing yardage, piling up 1,540 yards on 130 carries (11.8 yards per carry). He also ran back 10 kickoffs for 247 yards and made 34 solo tackles and three interceptions on defense. He did nearly all of his offensive production in only nine games, too, because he saw limited action (nine carries for 63 yards and no touchdowns) in the first three games of the season.
