A 6-2 senior forward, Wakeland scored 14 points against host St. Vincent on Jan. 12 to surpass 1,000 in her career. A four-year starter for the Eagles (7-7 overall, 0-1 in JCAA small-schools play), she had one of her best games of the season with 17 rebounds and six blocked shots in a 30-28 loss. Wakeland averages a double-double with 14.3 points and 12.9 rebounds and now has 1,006 points, 830 rebounds and 279 blocks in her Eagle career.
