The 6-8 junior center scored a game-high 21 points against conference rival Herculaneum Friday in a 57-49 win for the Hornets. DeGeare was fouled repeatedly, and made 12 of 17 shots from the free-throw line as the Hornets erased an eight-point deficit going into the fourth quarter. In a 60-53 win at Jefferson Feb. 3, DeGeare led all scorers with 37 points. He’s averaging a team-high 20 points per game.
