The sophomore started her season 2-0 with two quick pins at the Festus Quad on Saturday. In the Tigers’ 24-18 win over Park Hills Central, Mills pinned Rebel junior Karlee LaChance (a state qualifier last season) in 1:05 at 127 pounds. Festus shut out Cape Girardeau Notre Dame 24-0 at the meet, with Mills pinning Lily Ahlvin in 25 seconds at 132. “Lauren has made huge gains on the mat and is one of the hardest workers in the room,” Festus head coach Jason Nahlik said.
