Jordan Duncan

The sophomore shortstop began the season with a bang in the Blackcats’ first two games, a 16-2 win against Maplewood-Richmond Heights on April 4 and a 4-1 victory over rival Crystal City on April 5. Against the Blue Devils, Duncan was 3 for 3 with three runs scored, three RBIs, a stolen base and a walk. The next day against the Hornets, his two-run double in the second inning gave Herky a 3-0 lead. Duncan walked twice and stole four bases against Crystal. The Hornets had the bases loaded with two outs in the fifth inning when Duncan went to the mound in a relief role and retired the batter to end the threat.
