Zachary Taylor West-Strong, 24, of Imperial died Jan. 17, 2022, in Hillsboro. Mr. Strong worked as a groundskeeper for Always Best Care-ABC and enjoyed driving his Jeep around, shooting, looking for arrowheads, going camping and anything to do with the outdoors, cheering on the St. Louis Blues and spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. He was born Oct. 5, 1997, in St. Louis, the son of Todd Alan and Theresa Renee (West) Strong of Imperial.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister: Heather (Brantley) Byrd of Wildwood; his maternal grandmother: Theresa West of Imperial; his paternal grandfather: Ralph Strong of Mehlville; five nieces and nephews: Liam, Leyton, Ava, Malia and Cash; and numerous cousins, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by a brother: Cole Michael West; his maternal grandfather: Stanley West; and his paternal grandmother: Emily Jane Strong.
A funeral service was held Jan. 29 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus, officiated by Bobby and Zack Strong. Burial was in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart.
