Zachary L. Murdick Sr., 36 of De Soto died May 13, 2015, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Mr. Murdick was a mason tender/hod carrier with Laborer’s Local 110. Born Dec. 17, 1978, in Crystal City, he was the son of Gary Len (Cheryl) Murdick of De Soto and Carol S. (Jeff) Courtney Vance of Festus.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé, Michelle Heffron of De Soto; two children: Zachary L. Murdick Jr. and Amber Murdick, both of De Soto; five siblings: Terry Carrow of Pevely, Tracy (Andi) Carrow of Festus, Rick Causey of De Soto, Jerry Palmer of Arnold and Elizabeth (Bill) Hollis of Festus; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held May 18 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, with James Waymire officiating. Burial was in the Horine Cemetery in Richwoods. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
