Wilma L. Schwent, 75, of Bloomsdale died Nov. 27, 2016, at Mercy St. Louis Hospital in Creve Coeur. She was a member of the Jefferson County Saddle Club and was the treasurer-secretary for Concord Cemetery. She was born July 2, 1941, the daughter of the late Elijah “Lige” and Mildred (Holst) Chism.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years: Lloyd J. Schwent.
She is survived by a special friend, Robert “Bob” Baechle of Bloomsdale; two sons: Rick (Rose) and Paul (Lisa) Schwent, both of Bloomsdale; six grandchildren: Nicholas, Ryan, Austin, Cody (Katie), Erik and Adam; a great-granddaughter: Lilly; and by Keith (Jenna) Baechle and Caleb, Katy and Logan of Shawnee, Kan., Kevin (Rachel) Baechle and Maggie and Kacie of Peachtree City, Ga., Beth Baechle of St. Louis and Jason Baechle of Bloomsdale.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister: Velma Schwent.
Services were private. Memorials may be made to Concord School Cemetery Fund, 10499 Hwy. OO, Bloomsdale 63627. Arrangements were under the direction of Basler Funeral Home, Ste. Genevieve.
