Wilma D. “Deloris” Engemann, 88, of St. Louis died Aug. 5, 2022, in St. Louis. Mrs. Engemann was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and was very active in the Jefferson County Democratic Club. She enjoyed embroidering blocks for baby quilts, making apple butter, jelly and canning. She loved spending time with her husband crappie fishing. Born June 22, 1934, in St. Mary, she was the daughter of the late William and Sadie (Bruckerhoff) Brandel. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Engemann.
She is survived by four children: Patricia (the late David) Engemann-Tasch,
Michael (Brenda) Engemann, Daniel (Annette) Engemann and Lisa (Stephan) Hoffmann; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a son: Donald (Kathy) Engemann; and two brothers: Robert Brandel and Patrick Brandel.
Visitation is scheduled from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3009 High Ridge Blvd., in High Ridge. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3009 High Ridge Blvd, High Ridge, 63049. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
