William Leo Broeker Sr., 73, of Hillsboro died Nov. 21, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Broeker worked as a contractor. After he retired, he enjoyed helping those in need, being outdoors, spending time at the family farm and spending time with family. Born Jan. 28, 1949, in St. Charles, he was the son of the late Albinus and Viola Broeker.
He is survived by his wife: Marjorie Broeker, whom he married on July 1, 1967; a son: William Broeker Jr.; a daughter: Tamara Broeker of Hillsboro; two brothers: Jack Broeker of St. Louis and Lester Broeker of O’Fallon; and a grandson: Colton Broeker. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Wanda Haynes, Carol Mackenberg and Beverly Alfa Let.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. Visitation is from noon until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
