William E. Igou, 87, of Cedar Hill died June 22, 2016, at his home. Mr. Igou was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marine and the U.S. Navy and worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He collected stamps and all things to do with Missouri Pacific Railroad, was an avid reader and loved his dogs. Born April 26, 1929, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Murvel and Louise (Kandelbinder) Igou.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years: Rita (Horstmeyer) Igou of Cedar Hill; two children: William (Phyllis) Igou of Burlington, Wis., and Colleen Igou of Cedar Hill; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral services and burial were private. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
