Virginia Lee Vincent, 78, of Crystal City died Feb. 11, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Vincent taught second grade in the Fox C-6 School District for more than 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales and spending time with family. Born April 18, 1944, in Paragould, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Ceral and Veona Stone. She was preceded in death by her husband: Howard “Sunny” Vincent.
She is survived by a son: Bret (Janel) Vincent of Valley View, Texas; a daughter: Beth (Wayne) Jackman of Pevely; a brother: Jerry (Brenda) Stone of Lafe, Ark.; a sister: Ella (Wayne) Wilkins of Paragould, Ark.; a sister-in-law: Cheryl Stone of Paragould, Ark.; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother: Joe David Stone.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Dr., in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at the funeral home, officiated by Lennie Fincher. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Living Faith Food Pantry. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
