Vicki Lynn Burgess, 50, of Festus died July 30, 2018. Mrs. Burgess worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Festus for 20 years and was a member of the postal workers union and Mississippi River Eagles. She also worked many years at Petit Paree Restaurant in Festus. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, being outside doing yard work and relaxing by the pool. Born Jan. 5, 1968, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Barbara (Noll) and Marvin “Bud” Mueller. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lee Andrew Burgess.
She is survived by a daughter: Nichole Burgess of Festus; a son: Ryan Burgess of Festus; two siblings: David and Cindy; a granddaughter: Remi Rundel; special friend Wes Bryant; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation is at noon and a funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Burial is in the Presbyterian/Methodist Cemetery in Festus. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
