Veronica A. Record, 90, of De Soto died March 4, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Record was born March 13, 1930, in De Soto, the daughter of the late Minthia (Torrence) and George Ponzar Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lawrence C. Record.
She is survived by a daughter: Deborah Politte of Florissant; a sister: Marcella (Harold “Tiny”) Wickerham of De Soto; six grandchildren: Stephanie (Jeff) Whaley, Brad (Sarah) Missey, Brian (Amanda) Missey, Jennifer (Matt) Eddy, Amy (Dave Rogers) Politte and Desiree (Frank) Koch; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death a daughter: Beverly Record; and six siblings: George Ponzar Jr., Clarence Ponzar, Mary Smith, Francis Ponzar, Isabel Litton and Eugene Ponzar.
Visitation is scheduled from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 8, at the funeral home. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
