Verneil Mae “Flash” (Conway) Nations, 86, of Bismarck died Aug. 24, 2020. Mrs. Nations was talented at playing the piano. She loved the outdoors, flowers and birds. She also enjoyed camping, crocheting, coloring and spending time with family. She will be remembered for her strong faith, her caring and sassy personality and her adventurous spirit. Born May 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Blanche and Willard Conway.
She was preceded in death by her husband: John “Jake” Nations.
She is survived by two sons: John (Anna) Nations and Scott (Sheila) Nations; two daughters: Connie Perry (Darryl Abernathy) Nations and Ava (Stan) Brewer; 11 grandchildren: Christy, Kyle, Jennifer, Shannon, Warren, Kelleam, Amanda, Aiden, Lilly, Ashley and Nickole; six great-grandchildren: Josiah, Arrabella, Arriana, Tyler, Kolton and Keaton; and eight great-great-grandchildren: Trinity, Serenity, Macenzie, Becket, Zander, Jonathan, James and Alen.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Glen Aden Nations; a grandson: Eli; two sisters: Onetta White and Norma Hoff; and two brothers: Sherwood Conway and Clyde Conway.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 27) at C.Z. Boyer and Son Caldwell Chapel in Park Hills. Visitation will resume at 9 a.m. Friday (Aug. 28) until the funeral services at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Mike Barton. Burial will follow in Adams Cemetery in Frankclay. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home.
