Verneda Teresa Moser, 87, of Festus died Nov. 17, 2019, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Moser was a retired housekeeper for Jefferson Memorial Hospital and also had worked at the former Spielberg purse factory in Antonia. She was a member of Our Lady Church in Festus. Born June 20, 1932, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Kohler) Herman. She was preceded in death by her husband: Clifford Moser.
She is survived by a son: Kevin Moser of Festus; and a daughter: Lynn Moser of Festus.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Rita Marie (the late Willis) Skaggs, Matilda “Till” (the late Earl) Skaggs, Virginia (the late Roland) Lucas; three brothers: Norman B. (the late Norma) Schuh, Valley J. (the late Virginia “Virgie”) Schuh and Fred (the late Ethel) Schuh; and infants Ernest Schuh, Edward Schuh and Francis Herman.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Our Lady Church in Festus, officiated by Father Gregory Klump and Deacon Jerry Stoverink. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Our Lady Church or in the form of Masses. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
