Timothy G. Hess, 65, of Crystal City died Jan. 28, 2018, at his home. Mr. Hess was a registered nurse who worked at the Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center in Farmington. Born Feb. 5, 1952 in St. Louis, he was the son of Thomas (Carole) Hess of Crystal City and the late Betty (Hays) Hess.
In addition to his father and stepmother, he is survived by a son: Christopher H. Hess of Crystal City; a brother: Thomas (Vicki) Hess Jr. of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; three sisters: Cynthia (the Rev. Ron) Sutton of Hillsboro, Christina Patterson of Barnhart and Barbara (Sam) Rush of Crystal City; two grandchildren: Austin Keller Hess and Emily L. Hess; a great-granddaughter: Aleeah Delph; numerous nieces and nephews; four stepbrothers; two stepsisters; and numerous step-nieces and nephews.
Visitation is at 5 p.m. and a funeral service is scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Burial will be held at a later date in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
