Theresa Marie "Mimi" Casey, 41, of Crystal City died Sept. 6, 2021, in Festus. Ms. Casey worked as a nurse’s aide and dietitian for various nursing homes in the area and was a member of Ward Chapel AME Church in Festus. She enjoyed reading and writing and touched many souls in the community. Nothing meant more to her than her children. She was born April 1, 1980, in Crystal City, the daughter of Terraine William Casey Sr. of St. Louis and Connie Marie (Bivens) Casey of Crystal City.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two children: Alicya (Zachary) Casey-Wilde and Anthony Casey, both of Festus; four brothers: John Thomas Bivens of De Soto, Terraine William (Jennifer) Casey Jr. of Festus, Torrey (Sarah) Casey of Festus and Timothy Standridge of Imperial; an aunt: Ozea Kinder of Crystal City; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Christina Marie Calk; and her grandmother: Fannie Mae Riney.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus. Memorials may be made to the family through a fund established at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
