Theresa Ellen Sonnenschein, 92, of Arnold died June 6, 2018. Mrs. Sonnenschein was a faithful Catholic and a member of St. David Catholic Church in Arnold. She served as a Eucharistic minister, participated in daily Mass and volunteered for many organizations over the years. She had a great sense of humor and loved to dress as a clown.

Born Aug. 13, 1925, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Alphonsus and Mary (Labewig) Boyer. She was preceded in death by her husband: Julian Sonnenschein.

She is survived by six daughters: Julie (Eamon) Concagh, Theresa Sonnenschein, Marie (James) Condis, Dorthy (Morton) Small, Veronica (Thomas) Yaeger and Mariann Chandler; four sons: Eugene (Carol) Sonnenschein, John (Janis) Sonnenschein, Henry (Ken) Sonnenschein and Joseph Sonnenschein; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and godchildren.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, at St. David Catholic Church, 2334 Tenbrook Road, in Arnold, immediately followed by graveside services at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Keaton Residential Center, 120 N. Mill St., Festus, 63028. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
