Theresa Delsia Knobloch, 97, of Festus died Feb. 7, 2017, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in CrystalCity. Mrs. Knobloch was a member of Church of Our Lady in Festus. Born Feb. 13, 1919, in Herculaneum, she was the daughter of the late Emma Marie (Juliette) and Leslie Lawrence Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband: John R. Knobloch.
She is survived by three daughters: Shelby (the late James) Shelton, Kim (David) Taylor and Pam Knobloch, all of Festus; two sons: John L. (Kathy) Knobloch of Pevely and Stanley (Darlene) Knobloch of Festus; one sister: Wilma “Jean” (Fred) Govero of Festus; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Kasie Christine Taylor; two brothers: George (the late Dorothy) Cox and Cletus (the late Arlene) Cox; and three sisters: Maylo Marie (the late Percy) Abernathy, Gertrude (the late Elmer) Clifton and Jewell (Ervel “John” of Festus) Bittick.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main Street, Festus. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Feb. 13, 2017, at Church of Our Lady, 1550 St. Mary’s Lane, Festus, officiated by Fr. Jeffrey Maassen. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Sacred Heart or Church of Our Lady. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
