Terry M. Hayes, 71, of De Soto died June 20, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Hayes worked in the De Soto High School Cafeteria for more than 30 years. Born March 5, 1950, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of William O’Brien of De Soto and the late Marie (Heiland) O’Brien. She was preceded in death by her husband: Roger Charboneau.
She is survived by two children: Michelle (Karl Jr.) Walker of De Soto and John (Karen) Hayes of Ste. Genevieve; seven grandchildren: Dustin, Derek, Megan, Hunter, Kylie, Erica and Emily; and one great-grandchild: Ava, with another on the way

A memorial gathering is scheduled from 5 p.m. until a memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday, June 28, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Father Alexander Anderson. Memorials may be made to the De Soto Public School Adopt a Theater Seat program. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
