Boyer, Terry

Terry James Boyer, 65, of Festus died April 22, 2015, at his home.

Mr. Boyer was a heavy equipment operator for Jokerst Paving and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of VFW Post 3777 and liked fishing, shooting matches and especially loved his grandchildren. Born Feb. 22, 1950, in Blackwell, he was the son of the late Burnham and Lillie (Huskey) Boyer.

Survivors include his wife: Mary Lou (Naumann) Boyer of Festus; eight daughters: Brenda Boyer of Steelville; Patricia Dicus of Steelville; Cathy (Rick) Kanschat of Bartlett, Tenn.; Deanna Wheeler of Pevely; Velinda (Charles) Anderson of Festus; Anita (the late Frank) Boyer of De Soto; Dava (Wayne) Medley of Festus; and Ranae (Charlie) Haverstick of De Soto; a brother: Bernard (Monica) Boyer of Cadet; three sisters: Shirley (Ronald) Allison of San Angelo, Texas; Norma DeClue of Cadet; and Linda (Vernon) Boley of De Soto; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerry Lee Boyer and Donald Boyer; a grandson: Nathan DeClue; and a granddaughter: Stephanie Medley.

Priavte burial was in Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
