Madden, Tanya

Tanya Rae Madden, 85, of Festus died March 12, 2015, in De Soto. Mrs. Madden was a retired adjuster and supervisor with Aetna Life and Casualty and was a member of First Baptist Church of Festus/Crystal City. Born Dec. 11, 1929, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Sylvia (Francis) and J. Irvin Conardy. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Adolph “Doc” Weiss and Hugh J. Madden.

She is survived by three daughters: Sheila (Gary) Frey of Fenton, Helen (Chris) Mangan of Festus and Linda (the late Jeff) Riley of south St. Louis County; a son: David L. (Denise) Weiss of Barnhart; a brother: James “Jim” (Helen) Conardy of Springfield; three sisters: Dixie (the late Stanton) Buren of Pevely, Chloe (John) Russell-Sullivan of Festus and Kathleen (Floyd “Bud”) Edgar of Pevely; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Paul Russell.

Funeral services were held March 14 at Hammon Hall of First Baptist Church of Festus/Crystal City, officiated by Dr. Chales McLain. Burial was in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Operation Christmas Child at First Baptist Church. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
