Susan K. Dudley, 54, Eureka

Susan K. Dudley, 54, of Eureka died Sept. 6, 2021, at her home. She was a Union High School graduate and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and banking from Southwest Missouri State University and another degree in computer information systems from Maryville University. She worked for Citicorp for many years. She was active in The River at Eureka Church and served on various boards there, as well as the Praise Team and choirs. She loved helping with Vacation Bible School and participating in Bible studies. She also started the monthly Mission Meals program. She loved music and when she was young, took voice and piano lessons. In high school, she had the lead role in the “The King and I,” and she sang in choirs and played in the marching and concert bands. She also loved to travel and take cruises. She enjoyed theater, musicals, Hallmark movies, police TV shows and spending time with her family. She loved her dog Lucy and cat baby. She will be remembered for her generosity and willingness to help others. Born April 2, 1967, in East St. Louis, Ill., she was the daughter of Marjorie (the late Paul) Dudley.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by three siblings: Patricia (Lee) Schulte, William (Susie) Dudley and Peggy (Jeffery) Dudley; five nieces and nephews: Jennifer Jill Dudley, Jessica Dudley, Jonathan (Drazana) Dudley, Erin (Travis) Wasser and Lindsey Boyer; a great-niece: Zoey Wasser; and many other family and friends. She also was the international sister of the Chrispim and Junker families of Brazil

She also was preceded in death by a brother: Donald Dudley.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 12) at The River at Eureka Church, 215 N. Central Ave. Burial will be in Midlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or The River at Eureka Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home in Eureka.
