Sue Kite, 69, of De Soto died Dec. 24, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Kite was a housekeeping aide at Mercy Hospital Jefferson for 28 years. She enjoyed casino games, reading romance novels and watching NCIS, Law & Order, CSI, NASCAR and HGTV. Born March 25, 1950, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Frances A. (Personett) and Robert H. Phelps. She was preceded in death by her husband: LeRoy Kite.
She is survived by four sons: Robert Kite of Festus, Aaron (Cindy) Kite of De Soto, Andrew Kite of Houston and Roger Kite of Festus; a sister: Sandy Phelps of Valley Park; seven grandchildren: Courtney Warden, Alisha Kite, Shelby Kite, Megan Kite, Brandon Kite, Danyelle Kite and Kelsie Kite; and a great-grandchild: Ryker.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Roger Phelps and Robert Phelps; and two sisters: Sharon Mosenblach and Sally Phelps.
A funeral service was held Dec. 29 at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. David Wiley. Burial was in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery.
