Steven Wade Welker, 42, of Pevely died March 22, 2017, in Independence. Mr. Welker was a project manager for Thomas Industrial Coatings. Born Nov. 23, 1974, in St. Louis, he was the son of Rhonda and Joe (Vogler) Raumschuh of Valles Mines and Roger and Diane Welker of Pevely.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 20 years: Shari Stahl Welker; two children: Cole Welker and Mackenzie Welker; six siblings: Jason Welker of St. Louis, Corey (Bobbie) Welker of Hillsboro, Joseph (Denise) Raumschuh of Imperial, Jason Raumschuh of Arnold, Josh (Stephanie) Raumschuh of St. Charles, and Joe (Tonya) Whitter of Potosi; and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Travis, his brother, Richard Whitter, and his grandparents.
Funeral services were held March 28. Burial was in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Arrangements were under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home in St. Louis County.
