Steven Richard Roth, 63, of Festus died May 8, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Roth was a longtime machinist at Roth Automotive in Crystal City and retired as a truck driver for Kleinschmidt Trucking of Festus. He collected guns. Born Feb. 16, 1957, in St. Louis, he was the son of Zeda (Laiben) Roth of Herculaneum and the late Richard L. “Bud” Roth.
He is survived by two sons: Jacob Richard Roth of Festus and Donny (Amy) Eckrich of Festus; a daughter: Nicole (Mike) Blaylock of Festus; his ex-wife: Carla S. (Dement) Beck of Festus; six grandchildren: Zoey Mae Roth, Ethan, Elly and Evan Eckrich and Ezekiel and Xander Blaylock; a sister: Susan K. (Kent) Lerbs of Oakville; a niece: Brittany (Todd) Coleman of Festus; and a nephew: Chris Roth of Farmington.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Michael D. (the late Vickie) Roth.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City, officiated by the Rev. Tish Green. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus.
