Steven Pinkley, 67, of Festus died Oct. 31, 2021, in Festus. Mr. Pinkley was a retired maintenance mechanic with Boeing and a member of Local 837 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He was a member of the Big River Hunt Club, the Plattin Rock Boat Club and had served as a volunteer with the De Soto Rural Fire Protection District. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, hunting, fishing, boating and kayaking. Born Aug. 23, 1954, in Bonne Terre, he was the son of the late Willys and Mildred L. (Morlan) Pinkley.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 44 years: Pamela (Skiles) Pinkley of Festus; three children:
Kerry (Jennifer) Pinkley of Hillsboro, Terry (Autumn) Pinkley of De Soto and Steven (Kaylee) Pinkley of St. Louis; two siblings: Clifford Pinkley and Darryl (Tammy) Pinkley, both of De Soto; eight grandchildren: Austin, Tyler, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Shealynn, Clay, Koya and Arlyn; four nieces: Brandi, Brea, Kayla and Danielle; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a nephew: Chris Pinkley.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Dwayne Womack. Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 1415 Elbridge Payne Road, Chesterfield, 63017. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
