Steven Michael “Steve” Francis, 56, of Imperial died Jan. 16, 2022, at his home. Mr. Francis served in the U.S. Air Force. He was formerly in medical support services but has been disabled since 2015. Born April 6, 1965, in East St. Louis, Ill., he was the son of Ronald Lee Francis and the late Heidi Marie (Fries) Francis.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife: Joyce Francis; two daughters: Christina and Hannah; a stepdaughter: Hayley (Larson) Sorg of Missouri; a brother: Peter “Pete” Francis of Smithton, Ill.; and a sister: Patricia “Patty” (Francis) Vasques of Belleville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Warren “Wayne” Evans.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at the funeral home, officiated by Randy Cheatham. Burial is in the St. Lucas Cemetery.
