Steven Mark “Sam” Rush, 62, of De Soto died Oct. 10, 2021, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. Mr. Rush worked as a millwright for Local 716. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers and motorcycles, woodworking, hiking, being outdoors and spending time with family. Born May 21, 1959, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Lowell and Patricia A. (Nyga) Rush.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years: Darlene Denise (Moses) Rush of De Soto, whom he married on Oct. 18, 1980, in De Soto; two daughters: Samantha (Justin) Golden of St. Louis and Michaela (Andrew Stotler) Rush of Scott City; two sisters: Sally Doyle of Potosi and Stephanie Rush of Fort Worth, Texas; his mother-in-law: Ruby Moses of De Soto; a brother-in-law: Gary (Diann) Moses of Bonne Terre; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: James L. Moses; and three brothers-in-law: James F. Moses, Melvin Moses and Michael Doyle.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Saturday, Oct. 16, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. Burial is in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in De Soto.
