Sister Nanette Rose Durham, 93, of Eureka died Nov. 19, 2020. Sister Durham was one of the pioneer women to enter the field of pharmacy. She joined the Redemptoristine Nuns making profession of vows at the Liguori monastery on the feast of Christ the King, Nov. 20, 1974. She was chosen to be one of the foundresses of a new monastery in the Philippines in 1980, and served as mistress of novices for the first candidates from Thailand. The last few years of her life were spent at St. Andrew’s at Francis Place in Eureka. She was born July 26, 1927, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Funeral services were private, with burial in the Sisters’ cemetery. The Redemptorist Community at St. Clements provided funeral services. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
