Shirley M. Niederecker, 81, of Barnhart died Dec. 22, 2016, in Fredericktown. Mrs. Niederecker was a bus driver with the Special School District. Born June 21, 1935, in East St. Louis, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Raymond J. Polka and Lucille Frieda (Wohlstadter) Polka. She was preceded in death by her husband: Sherman W. Niederecker.
She is survived by two sons: Kevin (Linda) Niederecker of Imperial, Kris (Corie) Niederecker of Pinson, Ala.; one daughter: Kelly (Chris) Morgan of Fredericktown; one brother: Richard Polka of south St. Louis County; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by one daughter: Kim DeClue.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road in St. Louis County.
