Shirley Louise Moriarty, 82, Union

Shirley Louise Moriarty, 82, of Union died Feb. 12, 2022, in Washington, Mo. Mrs. Moriarty worked in retail sales and crafts. She was Baptist. Born Aug. 22, 1939, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Esther (Schultz) Awrey and Melvin Kreienheder.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 14 years: Victor John Moriarty.

She is survived by four children: Vicky (Kevin) Whitworth of Villa Ridge, Cindy Kizer of Union, Bill (Kim) Kizer of Barnhart and Patty Pappas of Ortinville, Mich.; 12 grandchildren: Dawn (Paul) Jepson of Ackworth, Ga., Chris (Rose) Newton of Robertsville, Jamie Newton of Union, Jon (Brittany) Newton of Pacific, Missy (Tony) Lang of Eureka, Jake (Jessica) Blum of Robertsville, Vic (Sarah) Kizer of Barnhart, Kyle (Tori) Kizer of Festus, Robert (Stephanie) Moriarty of Michigan, Matt (Sarah) Moriarty of Michigan, Teresa (Pete) Rose of Michigan and Annette Thompson of Michigan; 27 great-grandchildren: Alexis Pittore, Elizabeth Newton, Christopher Newton, Steven, Alexis and Cherese Roman, Keith and Lexi Crabtree, Jonathan, Chloe and Zoe Newton, Gavin and Gianna Lang, Jaxton and Jade Blum, Will, Noah, Keegan and Quinn Kizer, Oliver and Iris Kizer, RJ, Elizabeth and Olivia Moriarty, Cole Moriarty and Carl and Michaela Rose; and two great-great-grandchildren: Vera and Lucy Pittore.

She also was preceded in death by three siblings: Nancy Noel, Sylvia DeFrense and John Awrey; and a great-granddaughter: Claire Kizer.

Visitation and services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 26) at The Ridge Church of Villa Ridge, 51 Hwy. M, with Roger Johnson officiating. Memorials may be made to the The Ridge Church of Villa Ridge or the Franklin County Humane Society of Union. Arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home, 108 N. Central Ave., Eureka.
