Shirley Ann Heinze Shideler, 81, of Festus died Aug. 28, 2018, in Festus. Mrs. Shideler was a retired real estate agent and an active member of the Kimmswick Historical Society. She worked as a real estate agent, worked at the Fults Greenhouse and was personnel manager and director for Carondelet Savings and Loan and Concordia Publishing House before spending several years living in Egypt and England. Her favorite things were her flower gardens and the plants and variety of birds there. She loved to sing and travel and was a historian and bridge player. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Crystal City and attended Rock Presbyterian Church in Imperial. Born July 9, 1937, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Boyer) and Albert A. Heinze.
She is survived by a son: Chris (Christy) Church of Willard; a daughter: Noelle Church Michler of Barnhart; a sister: Pam (Jim) Miner; three grandchildren: Brittany (Danny) Perches, Morgan (Richard) Baldwin and Chad (Robin) Michler; and five great-grandchildren: Vicente Perches and Gabby, Trenton, Travis and Evan Michler.
She was preceded in death by a son: Mark Church; and a grandson: Zachary Michler.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Rock Presbyterian Church, 6439 Hwy. 61-67, in Imperial. Burial will be in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Kimmswick Historical Society, 6000 Third St., Kimmswick 63052; or to Mastodon State Historic Site, 1050 Charles J. Becker Drive, Imperial 63052. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
