Shirley Ann Birks, 91, of Festus died Aug. 31, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Birks was born March 10, 1931, in Crystal City, the daughter of the late Thelma Evelyn (Propst) and Edgar Lacy Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband: Glen Ray Birks
She is survived by a son: David Glen (the late Debbie) Birks of Festus; a daughter-in-law: Connie Birks; five grandchildren: Matthew Birks, Jennifer (Thomas) Becker, Lacy (Rich) Hosay, Bryan Birks and Jaclyn Birks; and four great-grandchildren: Luke Becker, Noah Birks, Gunnar Hosay and Ellie Jo Birks. She was preceded in death by a son: Christopher John Birks.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, in the Presbyterian/Methodist Cemetery in Festus. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Festus-Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
