Sheryl Lynn “Sherry” Walker, 62, of De Soto died March 18, 2019, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. Mrs. Walker was a teacher at Hillsboro Intermediate School and a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association. She also was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in De Soto. Born Dec. 16, 1956, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Donna (Sweeney) and Robert Spaeter.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years: Harry Walker of De Soto; two daughters: Rebecca (Paul Jr.) Solomon of De Soto and Amy (Brian) Blythe of Perryville; a brother: Michael Spaeter of Ironton; four sisters: Nancy Tuhill of Port Charlotte, Fla., Cynthia Walker of Bonne Terre, Joanna Wynes of Ironton and Janice Kersting of Granite City, Ill.; and four grandchildren: Lucy Blythe, Grant Blythe, Lily Solomon and Alice Solomon.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 North Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Rose. Burial is in the Peaceful Ridge Mausoleum in De Soto.
