Shelley Gail Parmer, 64, of Ste. Genevieve died Oct. 4, 2017, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. Mrs. Palmer was a nurse at Southgate Manor in St. Louis County and at Scenic Nursing Center in Herculaneum. She was born July 23, 1953, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Donald Ross Bess and Doris Marie (Gilbert) Rabe. She is survived by her husband: Rodney Parmer.
She is survived by a daughter: Stephanie (Dean) Westerman of Campbell Hill, Ill.; three stepsons: Jeremy (Stephanie) Grither of Sikeston, Wayne Parmer of Fenton and Rodney Grither of Sikeston; 18 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Tracy (the late Mark) Dunnavant; and her stepfather: William A. “Bill” Rabe.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, followed immediately by funeral services officiated by Pastor Larry Tucker. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Homes.
