Sharon Ruth Fisher, 78, of St. Louis died April 27, 2019, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. Mrs. Fisher was retired from the St. Louis Suburban Journals, where she did newspaper layout and arrangement. She was a member of the former Trinity United Church of Christ in St. Louis. Born March 29, 1941, in Ironton, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Althea (Gilliam) and Thomas Edward Huddleston Sr.
She is survived by two sons: Keith LaVay (Brenda) Fisher of Hillsboro and Craig Steven (Pamela) Fisher of Canyon Lake, Texas; two grandchildren: Erik Zane Fisher of Monte Vista, Colo., and Amanda Nicole (Chase) Plott of Austin, Texas; a great-granddaughter: Lily Jade Plott; a brother: Robert Alan (Maryann) Huddleston of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a sister: Carol Susan (Terrance) Carlton of Fenton.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Thomas E. “Butch” (the late Saundra) Huddleston.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Bro. Bob Thebeau. Burial is in the Herculaneum City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
