Sharon Ann (Workman) Friedrich, 64, of De Soto died Sept. 4, 2014, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Friedrich was a claims specialist with the St. Louis Carpenters Union. She enjoyed bingo, casinos, fishing and crafts. Born Oct. 8, 1949, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Elaine (Clemens) Workman.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years: Dietmar Friedrich of De Soto; two sons: Erich Friedrich of De Soto and Scott (Maria) Friedrich of Imperial; a brother: Kenny (Dagmar) Spengel of Affton; an aunt: Fern Ortman of Festus; an uncle: Edward Clemens of Belle; four grandchildren: Hannah, Emilee, Tessa and Remi; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother: Jack Workman.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Myelodysplastic Syndromes Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
