Scott Michael Gant, 66, of Hematite died Nov. 25, 2021. Mr. Gant was an auto body technician. He was Catholic. He also was a car and boat racing fan. Born May 14, 1955, he was the son of the late Russell “Jack” and Kathleen “Kitty” Love Gant.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Tami Baer Gant of Hematite; a brother: Steve (Brenda) Gant; two nieces: Christa and Ashley; a nephew: Colin; two great-nieces: Nicole and Bailey; two great-nephews: Grant and Coston; a sister-in-law: Terri (Mike) Cissell; three dogs: Chuck Bury, Rock and Ro; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Beverly (Gary) Gant Belfield; a nephew: Adam Belfield; his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Vernon “Duke” and Marie Baer; and brother-in-law: Mike Baer.
He was cremated. A celebration of life will be held from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Knights of Columbus lake and pavilion, 220 Spring St., in Festus.
