Sarojben B. Patel, 79, of Festus died Dec. 1, 2016, at her home. Ms. Patel was born Feb. 4, 1937, in Dharmaj, India, she was the daughter of the late Babubhai J. and Kamlaben B. Patel.
She is survived by two brothers: Bhupendra B. (Smita) Patel of Indianapolis, Ind., and Ajit B. (Bina) Patel of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters: Dr. Indu B. Patel of Festus, Minal K. (the late Kanu C.) Patel of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Nila J. (Jayant) Patel of Atlanta, Ga.; four nephews: Ketan (Mala) Patel of Cincinnati, Ohio, Amish (Dipti) Patel of Brunswick, N.J., Nishith (Suvarna) Patel of Atlanta, Ga., and Nirav (Shilpa) Patel of Atlanta, Ga.; and four nieces: Monika (Dinesh) Sananayake of Atlanta, Opal Pal (Toni) Patel of Indianapolis, Shefali (Rishi) Patel of Chicago and Purvi (Chirag) Kothari of Minneapolis, Minn. She was preceded in death by a brother: Suresh B. Patel.
A prayer service was held Dec. 3 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, followed immediately by commission. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
