Sarah M. Tullock, 89, of De Soto died Dec. 11, 2020, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. Mrs. Tullock worked in the cafeteria at De Soto High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church in De Soto. Born April 9, 1931, in Elvins, she was the daughter of the late Albert “Eb” and Nellie Lands. She was preceded in death by her husband: Vernon Tullock Sr., whom she married on Nov. 10, 1947.
She is survived by two children: Vernon Tullock Jr. of De Soto and Linda Dawes of Omaha, Neb.; three siblings: Alberta McCleese of Caledonia, Francis Vance of Mineral Point and Donald Lands of Winston, Ore.; two grandchildren: April and Adam; two great-grandchildren: Auggie and Amanda; and three great-great-grandchildren: Audri, Jordan and Roxi.
She was preceded in death by a son: Gordon “Tic” Tullock; and a great-grandson: Gage Dawes.
A memorial gathering is from 9 a.m. until a memorial service at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Leonard Compton. Burial was in the Belgrade Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
