Sarah Anne Downs, 36, of Pevely died Feb. 21, 2023, in St. Louis. Mrs. Downs worked for Henkel Chemicals Co. as a quality assurance technician. She enjoyed painting, taxonomy, traveling, eating Asian food and working on her home. Born Dec. 1, 1986, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Herschel W. Cornell of Crystal City and Ok-Suk Pak of Houston, Texas.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son: Chance M. Downs of Hillsboro; a brother: Eric (Shannon Kapper) Cornell of Festus; a sister: Maggie Cornell of Festus; and many other family members and friends.
A memorial gathering was held March 3 at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the University of Missouri in St. Louis, 1 University Dr., St. Louis, 63121, Attn: Muriel E. Babcock Memorial Fund. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
