Sandra Gale Whaley, 70, of French Village died March 7, 2020, at her Goose Creek home. Mrs. Stringer was a housekeeper for Garden Villas in Chesterfield. Born Oct. 3, 1949, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Neva (White) and Lonnie Leo Stringer.
She is survived by her husband: Marvin Eugene “Gene” Whaley; three daughters: Debra Ann (James) McVay of French Village, Tracy Lynn (Robert Forister) Winters of Branson and Shari (the late Jeff) Mayer of O’Fallon; two sons: Jeffrey Whaley of Warrenton and Scott Whaley of Overland; four grandchildren: Dustin (Kameko) Burnett of Branson, Erika (Ryan) Burnett of Branson, Troy Glore of Park Hills and Nitikia (Drew) Glore of Dittmer; three sisters: Patty (David) Brooks of Soddy Daisey, Tenn., Linda Dixon of Arnold and Kathy (David) Harring of De Soto; a sister-in-law: Kathy Stringer of Herculaneum; and four brothers: Charles (Nancy) Stringer of St. Peters, Robert (Karen) Dodson of Chattanooga, Tenn., Terry Stringer of French Village and Lonnie (Diane) Stringer of Norwalk, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by a son: Dan Whaley; and a brother: Alan Stringer.
Visitation is at 3 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, officiated by the Rev. Terry Crank. Burial will take place at a later date in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Pevely. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
