Samuel Lewis “Sam” Noce, 78, of Festus died Oct. 17, 2014, at his home. Mr. Noce was a farmer and served with the U.S. Army National Guard. Born Sept. 3, 1936, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Edna M. (Hendrix) and Lewis Renaldo Noce. He was preceded in death by his wife: Becky Sue (Ivy) Noce.
He is survived by three sons: David L. Noce of Bloomsdale, Kenneth (Tonya) Noce of Festus and Daniel B. (Samantha) Noce of Mount Zion, Ill.; a brother: William K. “Bill” (Gearldine) Noce of Rush Tower; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. Visitation is at 10 a.m. and funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Hwy. 61 south of Festus, officiated by the Rev. Carol Blackwell. Memorials may be made to the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church Handicap Elevator Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
