Ruth Ann Eicher, 71, of Crystal City died July 9, 2017, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Eicher was a retired LPN at Fountainbleau Nursing Center in Festus and a member of the Catholic Church. She was born July 22, 1945, in Ironton, the daughter of the late Roberta Evelyn “Bertie” (Auzat) and Edward A. Vaughn.
She is survived by four sons: Larry (Brenda Marie) Jones of Bennett, Iowa, Thomas (Pamela Ann) Jones of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jason (Jennifer) Eicher of Cedar Rapids and Jack (Elizabeth) Eicher of Fairfax, Iowa; three sisters: Mary (the late Leroy) Bradley of Crystal City, Ellen F. (Leroy) Horstman of Festus and Susan (Donald) Lalumondier of Highland, Ill.; three brothers: John (Delores) Vaughn of Oakland, Ark., Michael (Vikki) Vaughn of Crystal City and Thomas (Marcella) Vaughn of Festus; seven grandchildren: Gary Jones, Joshua Jones, Allyssa Ruth Jones, Jordin Eicher, Jared Eicher, Dillan Eicher and Aaron Kopish; and four great-grandchildren: Alexis Ann Lake, Jacob Thomas Jones, Alex Jones and Kingston Jones. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Christopher Phillip Langelier.
A memorial gathering is at 2 p.m. and a memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus, officiated by Deacon Jerry Stoverink. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
