Russell H. Clifton, 73, of De Soto died May 18, 2016, at his home. Mr. Clifton was the owner of a Shell service station and was a real estate agent. Born Oct. 15, 1942, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Frank and Alice Lotti (Walton) Clifton.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Shirley (Johnson) Clifton of De Soto; two children: Bob Clifton and David (Lisa) Clifton, both of De Soto; two brothers: Don “Greg” Clifton of North Hollywood, Calif., and Michael (Claudia) Clifton of Spokane, Wash.; two grandchildren: Maddi Clifton and Travis Clifton; and one niece: Gwendolyn Clifton. He was preceded in death by a sister: Gwendolyn Clifton.
Funeral services were held May 22 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Gene Moses. Burial was in the De Soto City Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
