Roy Robert Bohle, 97, of Cedar Hill died Dec. 5, 2020, in Sunset Hills. Mr. Bohle retired from Southwestern Bell in 1982 and was a past president of the Cedar Hill Fire Department. He was a member of St. Martin’s United Church of Christ in Dittmer and the House Springs Lions Club, as well as a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge in Fenton. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and even tried out for the team. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. Born May 3, 1923, in Cedar Hill, he was the son of the late Walter and Norah (Kidd) Bohle.
He is survived by his wife of 77 years: Florine I. (Eggers) Bohle; a sister: Venita Bohle of Cedar Hill; two children: Robert (Nancy) Bohle of Cedar Hill and Elaine Brooks of Cedar Hill; five grandchildren: Bryan (Evelyn) Brooks, Matthew (Krista) Brooks, Rebecca (Samuel) Maindonald, Susan Bohle and Ryan Bohle; six great-grandchildren: Henry, Walter, Tyler, Stella, George and Woodrow; and many other family members and friends.
He also was preceded in death by a brother: Walter Bohle; and a son-in-law: Fred Brooks.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral services at 1 p.m. Friday (Dec. 11) at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill, followed by burial in St. Martin’s United Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to St. Martin’s United Church of Christ, 7890 Dittmer Ridge Road, in Dittmer. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
